Project Heroes First was founded in San Antonio, Texas in 2023 by U.S. Army Veteran Justin Torres. Inspired by the loss of several brothers-in-arms to the “22 Club”—a solemn reminder of the tragedy of veteran suicide—Justin created PHF to honor their memory. PHF was designed with a mission to help uniformed Heroes and their families overcome the obstacles of service. Building on that foundation, Project Heroes First expanded its vision to include the First Responders of Texas, recognizing that they face many of the same challenges as veterans—overcoming both physical and mental injuries sustained in service. Together with a dedicated team of experts driven by passion and purpose, Team Heroes First will become one of the best resources in the state of Texas.
